How to Use Pomegranate to Lose Weight
The pomegranate helps to lose weight because it contains few calories. And it is a super antioxidant fruit, rich in vitamin C, zinc and B vitamins, which help in the metabolism of carbohydrate, helping to prevent diseases and stimulating the burning of fat.
So, in order to lose weight, one must take daily the juice or the tea of pomegranate peel. The two complement each other in the treatment of weight loss, as the juice acts as a diuretic and tea is a powerful anti-inflammatory, improving the functioning of metabolism. Here’s how to prepare:
Pomegranate juice should be taken without sweetening, preferably in the morning, before or during breakfast. To enhance its effect, you can add juice of 1/2 lemon and 1 slice of ginger.
- 2 pomegranates
- 200 ml of water
How to prepare: beat in the blender all the pulp of the pomegranates together with the water, and drink then. To leave more ice, you must add ice rocks to beat along with the pulp.
Pomegranate Peel Tea
Pomegranate peel is the most anti-inflammatory part of the fruit, being important in the process of slimming because it helps to improve hormonal production and strengthen the immune system, in addition to leaving the skin more hydrated, rejuvenated and without cellulites.
To make the tea, you should put 10 grams of the pomegranate peel in 1 cup of boiling water, turning off the fire and smothering the pan for 10 minutes. After this period, you should strain and drink the warm tea, repeating the process 2 to 3 times a day, without sugaring.
How to Eat Fresh Pomegranate
Pomegranate can also be consumed fresh, in its natural form, and is a good strategy to control the urge to eat in times of anxiety. To remove the seeds more easily, you can use a small spoon of tea or dip large pieces of the pomegranate in ice water, as this helps to peel the seeds from the bark.
The seeds can be consumed along with the fruit pulp, or simply thrown away while eating. However, consuming the seeds increases the amount of fiber and antioxidants in the meal, which helps bring more nutrients into the body.
